Design

I’m nearly done with my latest web design project and I could hardly wait to post it up for the world to see.  The site is http://www.baysidepeds.com and was one of the FREE websites I am designing (see this post for more info).  Its my sincere hope that Dr. Park is happy with the design and functionality.  I hope it helps to bring new patients to build his EXCELLENT pediatrics practice, which will be moving right by me, in Bayside, NY. 

The new office is north of Northern Blvd, just a block or two south of the Bayside Post Office and the Bayside’s Long Island Railroad Station. 

Me and a friend have decided to start doing freelance graphic design and website development work.  We’re looking for projects to get started on and build a portfolio.  I’ve come to realize that a lot of people might be able to do this themselves, but simply don’t have the time or desire to do it properly.  So, there’s just a plethora of opportunities for us. 

In order to kickstart our business we are offering our services for FREE to family, friends and their acquaintances.  We ask that you cover the expense of domain name registration (for your website name, www.yoursite.com) and the cost of website hosting which runs about $10 per month.  But you’ll be saving $500 in website design fees and you’ll have the confidence of working with people you can trust to do a great job and make sure you’re costs will be minimized.  The domain name, website, graphics and associated intellectual property will all be yours.

All we ask in return is three simple things:

• An understanding that since we are doing this for free, there are limits to what we can do in terms of time and money. 
• The addition of a small link at the bottom of the website that mentions that we built the site and links back to us. 
• The right to display graphics on our site and in printed brochures or portfolio to give examples of our work.

What you should expect in terms of website:

• About 5 pages which describe you, your business or organization; contact information; products, services or menu; and directions. 
• Graphics, including your logo, photos of your business, staff, etc.
• The submission of your website and business information to search engines, map websites, business directories, etc.
